What’s this award for?

Do you know someone who’s made a difference in the community? Someone who went above and beyond to improve the well-being of their community and fellow community-members? Then nominate them for the Stars of Alberta Volunteer Award.

What’s this award for?

Stars of Alberta recognize six individuals from the province who have made significant contributions to the community through volunteer work. Two youths, adults, and seniors will be recognized for their exemplary initiative, leadership and creativity in helping the community.

Last year’s recipients of the awards were: Katie Fitzgerald (St.Albert), Sheliza Kassam (Calgary) , Al Jones (Airdrie) , Teresa Nuthall (Wanham) , Dr. David E. Hubert (Edmonton), and Idrees Khan (Calgary). Read more about their contributions.

Why is this award important?

Volunteers are important to the fabric of the community. Without their dedication, passion and drive to create a better community, many organizations would not be where they are today and more importantly, many individuals would not receive the help they need. Every single volunteer is a treasured individual to the community.

We salute all volunteers who make Alberta a better place to live.

Nominate someone today!

Nomination deadline is on September 15. An online form can be filled out, or a PDF can be printed and completed. For more details, see Stars of Alberta Volunteer Awards.
